Into The World of Wellness... Why Wellness Practices Can Change Your Life


Wellness can be an overwhelming concept. There are so many trends and so many people with so much to say about wellness. So, what exactly is it?


To me, wellness means practicing habits that help you create a balance of physical and mental health. But, it's not all exercise and talking to a therapist, like people assume. It's finding ways to incorporate small habits that will make huge differences.


A couple of years ago, I had just started college and suddenly my day-to-day life was SO different from what I had ever known. I felt like everything in my life was out of control and I didn't know how to stop it. I came across a podcast where the host was talking about how she transformed her life with wellness.


That was when I started looking into wellness practices in hopes to get a grip on something in my life and start to feel more put together. After adding new habits and routines into my life, I started feeling so good so quickly. There's something about taking the steps to take care of yourself that automatically makes you feel like you're doing life right.


Physical Wellness

I know you already know how important it is to take care of our bodies. We are always told to exercise and eat right, which yes, that is a huge part of wellness. However, there's actually a lot more that you can do to make sure your body is at 100%.


Physical wellness is also things like sleep, skin, immunity, etc. To me, it's just taking care of your body, in so many different ways. There's a lot that we can do to help our bodies feel their best. And I promise, once you start implementing small habits to help your physical wellness, you'll never want to go back.


I think a lot of people have slightly negative connotations around physical wellness. If you don't enjoy going to the gym and eating a 100% clean diet, there is still so much you can do to prioritize physical health. Throughout my blog posts I'll show you some of my favorites and hopefully you can find a few habits that work for you to pick up!


Mental Wellness

Things that fall under the umbrella of mental wellness are pretty straight forward. Mental wellness is looking at our brains, emotions, and feelings. Feeling stressed about life? There's mental wellness tricks to help that. Brain fog? We can fix that too! When it comes to your mental health, self-care can help you manage stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy.


Mental wellness is way more important than most people think. If you don't have your thoughts and feelings figured out, it's gonna be hard to figure anything else out either. When I started prioritizing my mental wellness, I was able to handle the hard parts of life so much better.


Mental Wellness can look different for everyone, but it's so extremely important to find something that works for you. You can't show up for others or things you care about unless you show up for yourself first. Some people like journaling, reading, meditation, etc. But, don't worry, I'll give you plenty of tips to find what you love!


How You Can Get Started with Wellness


Okay, now that you know what wellness is, you might be wondering exactly how to get started. There is SO much information about wellness out there, and to be honest, everyone kind of has to find what's right for them.


But, what I've noticed in the wellness space is that a lot of wellness influencers and brands preach things that sound amazing, but sometimes just don't actually do anything. That's the whole reason I wanted to start my brand! I've been through all the trends and filtered through all the tips and kept the ones that really make a difference.


So, being here is a great place to start. I won't feed you any useless tips, only things I truly believe in from real life experience. And, I'll actually provide you with tips on how to make your new habits stick!
